Starting from the heart of the City, cycle to the bustling Riverbank Precinct, home to significant and historic buildings, sports events and public spaces. Sights include the Festival Centre, Elder Park, the Adelaide Convention Centre, the historic rowing sheds and the new $40 million landmark Riverbank Bridge that links the world famous Adelaide Oval with the City.
Ride the serene River Torrens Linear trail
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the river, parks and wetlands as you ride through an 1800’s cemetery, cross under viaducts and bridges and appreciate the serenity of nature in this continually changing landscape. As the river trail comes to an end, start to feel the ocean breeze and soon be amazed by the breathtaking coastal views.
Discover the relaxed atmosphere of Henley Beach
The recently redeveloped Henley Square offers the perfect place to take a break and re-energise over a delicious morning tea at ‘Cocolat’ while getting some insider tips from your guide. Henley is one of the ‘go to’ beaches for locals to hang out and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Take a walk on the jetty and keep an eye out for the occasional pod of dolphins that visit the foreshore.
Cycle along the spectacular coastline
Heading south along the dedicated cycle path, take in the expansive views along the coastline toward the Fleurieu Peninsula. Get a feel for the South Australian coastal lifestyle as you ride past beachside houses, sailing clubs and sand dunes. The final stretch takes you through the stylish Marina Pier complex and back to the foreshore before arriving at Moseley Square, Glenelg.
Stay and explore the coastal town of Glenelg
The popular cosmopolitan town of Glenelg is ideal for swimming, dining and entertainment. Shop on the bustling Jetty Road, discover the museums and galleries or simply find a place to relax and enjoy an ice cream. Take the time to walk along the sandy white shores and feel the sand between your toes or have a swim in the calm blue sea while soaking up some sunshine.

Tip: No need to carry all your beach gear in your backpack while riding – just leave it safely with us at the pureSA office and we will bring it to you at Glenelg.

Adelaide Central Market (or Victoria Square)
First stop is the Adelaide Central Market in the heart of the city. This historic market has been a mecca of food in Adelaide for over 140 years and still today retains its unique charm and character. Renown for its multicultural flavors and local produce it has become one of Adelaide’s must do attractions. A guided walking tour of the market is a great way to immerse yourself in the local culture whilst indulging your senses with some of the finest produce available in South Australia.Note: On days when the Adelaide Central Market is closed (Sunday/Monday), we substitute a tour of Adelaide’s historicVictoria (Tarndanyangga) Square. This recently upgraded central Adelaide park provides a beautiful cosmopolitan atmosphere whilst being encircled by some of Adelaide finest historic buildings.
City SightsNext up is a leisurely drive along Adelaide’s bustling streets, precincts and surrounding park lands. Crossing the River Torrens, we drive along the beautifully redeveloped Riverbank Precinct, past the world famous Adelaide Oval and then travel out of the city on Adelaide’s cultural boulevard ‘North Terrace’. Here you will witness many of Adelaide’s most important landmarks and historic buildings. All you have to do is sit back and take it all in while your friendly guide narrates the city’s connection to the past, present and future.
A visit to Adelaide will not be complete without tasting some of the region’s local wines! Just 20minutes from the heart of the city and nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Adelaide Hills, we stop at the world renown Penfolds Winery. Established in 1844, Penfolds is one of South Australia’s oldest and most famous wineries, offering stunning views across its iconic vineyards and historic buildings. In the state of art cellar door, you will experience personalised tasting of their internationally acclaimed wines.
Cleland Wildlife Park
Our major stop for the day is at Cleland Wildlife Park where you will have plenty of time to get close to Australia’s most unique wildlife. Whilst immersing yourself in the wonders of this natural bush environment, you can engage with impressive kangaroos, shy wallabies and cute inquisitive potoroos. The Koala close-up experience is a definite must do, along with seeing the Emu’s, Dingoes, Wombats, and native bird life. The Cleland Wildlife Park, part of the Mount Lofty Ranges and nestled within the beautiful Cleland Conservation Park, is also your stop for lunch.
Mount Lofty Summit
At the summit, fantastic panoramic views over the Adelaide Plains and Gulf St. Vincent await you. Originally spotted from Kangaroo Island in 1802 by Captain Matthew Flinders, Mount Lofty Summit is the highest point in the Adelaide Hills at 710m. This short stop will give the perfect opportunity to take memorable pictures and depending upon the weather you may even gaze upon your ship in the harbor.
Return to Port
To end an amazing day on a perfect note, you will enjoy a scenic drive along the coast back to your ship at Outer Harbor, in time for departure.
