Base yourself in Te Anau and experience the very best of Fiordland’s world-famous Great Walks – the Milford, Routeburn, and Kepler Tracks – with a fully guided day walk each day. Your adventure begins with the easier Kepler Jetboat & Hike , a relaxed and scenic introduction combining a thrilling ride on the Waiau River with a gentle walk through native forest and lakeside landscapes. Over the next two days, you’ll explore more of Fiordland’s breathtaking beauty – from towering mountains and lush valleys to ancient beech forest, alpine rivers, and dramatic fiords. This three-day hiking package offers an unforgettable way to discover the heart of Fiordland.
Day 1 – 8.45 am Pick Up Briefing and Kepler Track Guided Walk
The Great Walk Package commences with a pre-trip briefing, during which we outline the logistics of the three-day itinerary and ensure all participants are appropriately equipped. This session also provides an opportunity to arrange any additional gear, such as rain jackets or walking poles, which are available on loan at no additional cost. It’s also a valuable opportunity to meet fellow walkers and engage with your guide ahead of the journey.
Kepler Track Guided Jetboat & Hike
Experience the beauty of Fiordland by land and water on this immersive day on the Kepler Track. Begin with a thrilling jetboat ride down the Waiau River—featured in The Lord of the Rings —and a scenic cruise on Lake Manapouri, surrounded by lush beech forest and sandy beaches. Then enjoy a 3-hour guided walk on a well-formed section of the Kepler Track, taking in native bush, wetlands, swing bridges and lake views.
