Arrive San Jose. Relax by the pool or take a tour of the city at leisure.

Day 2:
Board a private transfer to Arenal Volcano.
This active volcano has been resting since 2010. During its last active phase, small eruptions occurred 3 - 5 times per day and lava could be seen glowing in the night, something you don't get to witness very often. When will it begin its next active phase? Yet to be determined, but its geological reminders...with strange rock formations and lush forests in the surrounding national park...can be seen throughout the area.
En route, visit Poas and La Paz, lunch at the Red Eyed Frog and visit Meso American Rescue Center.

Spend an evening at leisure in Arenal area.

Day 3:
Today is all about adventure! Head out into the jungles surrounding Arenal Volcano to explore. You'll rappel down giant waterfalls, jump into pools, zip down guided rappels, downclimb the canyon walls and river boulders and more!

Day 4:
Day at leisure in Arenal. Perhaps take a hike near the volcano and relax in the hot springs, peruse the town's nature museums, or book a zip lining tour.

Today, we head from the jungle to the coast. En route, it's time for some more heart-pumping adventure as we white water raft down the Rio Balsa on the way to Manuel Antonio.
