A current Jabiru aircraft is in the category of Light Sports Aircraft (LSA). This is the type of powered flight training that we do at the Adelaide Soaring Club.
Jabiru Aircraft are strongly built in Australia and are an ideal training aircraft.
Flying LSA is considered to be very safe when compared to many sports. The most dangerous part is the drive to the airfield.

Here at our amazing location, we train people to fly gliders and master the amazing Jabiru J170 aircraft! There is no need for you to have any previous experience – all you need to do is head on down to our amazing location and experience one of our epic air experience flights. Giving you a quality introduction to flying in a high-performance glider, it is a wonderful way to find out about gliding and have some fun at the same time. Joined by a fully qualified instructor throughout your experience, you’ll be left in capable hands. When you learn to fly in Gawler, a fun and exciting session is exactly what’s in store from the very first moment to the last!
