Description

Located in the beautiful wine district of the Hunter Valley, Cypress Lakes is a picturesque 6,487 metre par 72 18-hole championship golf course and is ranked among the top resort courses in Australia. Unveiled in 1992, Cypress Lakes was designed by Steve Smyers of Florida. From the Black championship markers, the layout is a length of 6,467m par 72, but reduces to 5,520m from the men’s White tees with the ladies facing a distance of 5,216m. 

Each tee and green offers stunning panoramic views of the Hunter Valley’s famous vineyards and the surrounding Brokenback mountain range. This Championship layout boasts dramatic fairways shapes and elevation changes, 60 strategically located bunkers and generous greens that are in superb condition year round. Significant golf course infrastructure investment by the Oaks Hotels group is quickly catapulting Cypress Lakes to the top of must play resort destinations in Australia.

You and your group will then play 18 holes of golf at the Cypress Lakes Golf & Country Club, which includes the use of a shared motorised cart and complimentary range balls. 

The Hunter Valley boasts some of the best wineries in NSW, as well as day spas and foodie attractions. The Premier Villa offers a kitchenette, balcony and spacious rooms and you'll have access to the resort pool and other facilities, including restaurant, bar, whiskey bar, tennis court and more. 

Terraced into the natural bushland surroundings are the villa accommodation, providing guests with extraordinary views over the golf course fairways, Broken Back Range and the resorts own vineyards. Lucky guests are treated to a morning visit from the resident kangaroos, kookaburras and koalas in the private accommodation setting.

Important Information

• Availability: The supplier will do their best to accommodate your preferred date/time for this experience, but cannot guarantee the specific date and/or tee time requested

• Dress Code: Please visit the golf club's website to make sure you understand and adhere to their dress code for guest players. If in doubt contact their Pro Shop for further information. You must play in golf shoes with soft spikes and generally wear smart, clean golf attire (for men or women).

• Weather Conditions: The experience will generally go ahead in wet or inclement weather, however you may not have use of a golf cart due to the conditions. The experience will be cancelled when the golf course is shut by club (e.g. it's too wet or dangerous to play)

• Cancellation Policy: Changes to your booking are allowed up to 72 hours prior to your experience. Changes requested within 72 hours are solely at the discretion of the golf club and subject to availability. Late arrivals or no-shows may result in you forfeiting your experience and you would not qualify for a refund.

• Wheelchair Accessibility: Golf experiences (on course) are generally not suitable for wheelchair-bound customers or spectators. Please contact the club to confirm wheelchair accessibility for general areas (e.g. reception or food & beverage outlets)

• Motorised Carts: If the experience includes the use of a motorised cart it is based on two people sharing unless specified otherwise. Guests must be at least 18 years old to drive a motorised golf cart and might be requested to show ID on the day

• Age Restrictions: Guests under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult for the duration of the experience

• Behaviour: Guests must adhere to the venue's golf course conditions, rules of play and general etiquette standards as outlined on their website, in their clubhouse and as instructed by the Pro Shop on the day of play. If guests do not comply with these rules the golf club reserves the right to request the guests leave the premises

• Damage: Any damage to the golf course or the golf cart is the responsibility of the guest

• Spectators: This experience does not allow for non-playing spectators on the course, please check with the golf club whether non-playing guests are allowed to enter the general areas of the venue.

• Inclusions: This experience does not include the hire of golf clubs (unless specifically stated) and only includes what is listed in the experience description. Anything not included in this experience will be your responsibility and paid for on the day separately.
