Every year, we head to the island to celebrate Patrick’s birthday, and this year is no exception. Get ready for a country music-themed weekend called the “Pour Me Another Drink Tour!” Named after the classic country hit duet by Blake Shelton and Post Malone that you will find on your music play lists.
Your likely to hear a few tunes over the weekend from Keith Urban, Casey Barnes, Dolly Parton, James Johnston, Kalee Bell, Post Malone, Carly Pearce, Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Kenny Rogers and a few others during our travels.
Here is a look at our suggested cocktails for the weekend.
Country-Themed Cocktails
Whiskey Sour with a Twist: A classic country cocktail with a tropical twist. Mix whiskey, lemon juice, and simple syrup, then add a splash of pineapple juice for that island flair.
Southern Belle: Combine bourbon, peach schnapps, and sweet tea for a refreshing drink that screams southern charm.
Cowboy Margarita: A rugged take on the classic margarita. Mix tequila, lime juice, and agave syrup, then add a hint of jalapeño for a spicy kick.
Fraser Island-Themed Cocktails
Fraser Island Breeze: Blend coconut rum, pineapple juice, and a splash of blue curaçao for a refreshing, ocean-coloured drink.
K’Gari Sunset: Mix vodka, cranberry juice, orange juice, and a dash of grenadine to create a drink that mimics the stunning island sunsets.
Kingfisher Cooler: Combine gin, elderflower liqueur, lemon juice, and soda water for a light and refreshing cocktail perfect for sipping by the pool.
Country Meets Island Cocktails
Tropical Cowboy: Mix rum, coconut cream, and pineapple juice with a splash of bourbon for a unique blend of tropical and country flavors.
Coconut Whiskey Smash: Blend whiskey, coconut water, mint leaves, and lime juice for a refreshing and unique cocktail.
These cocktails will add to the festive atmosphere of your “Pour Me Another Drink Tour!” We'll be celebrating Patrick’s birthday with these delightful drinks and anyone else who might be having a birthday.
We have some exciting news for Patrick though — he’ll be organizing the drinks for everyone!

This trip, we’ll stay at the luxurious Kingfisher Bay Resort, offering resort-style quarters with Twin Share options or the chance to upgrade to your own room.

6:00 AM: Pick up's

3:00 PM: Check-in to rooms
3:30 PM: Eco leisure walk to McKenzie Jetty

7:30 PM: Evening country-themed activities

8:00 AM: 4WD adventure to:
Central Station and Wanggoolba Creek
Lake Wabby
Pile Valley’s stunning Satinay and Brush Box forests
Seventy-Five Mile Beach’s famous highway
The Maheno shipwreck
The Pinnacles’ coloured sands
Eli Creek’s fresh waters
The mighty Stonetool Sand Blow
3:00 PM: Afternoon activities at the resort
7:30 PM: Evening country-themed activities

Monday
7:30 AM: Trek or 4WD (you choose) to Lake McKenzie, swim, and picnic lunch
2:00 PM: Afternoon activities at the resort
5:00 PM: Depart Kingfisher Bay Resort
9:45 PM: Arrive in Brisbane
10:30 PM: Arrive on the Gold Coast

Accommodation
Room type is allocated by Sky Road Trail but you can choose a share room or own room.

Helensvale Train Station - Gold Coast - Departure is 6.30am.
Park Road Station - Brisbane - Departure 7.20am
Toombul Train Station - Brisbane - Departure 7.45am
Caboolture BP - Brisbane - Departure 9am.
Sunshine Coast - Departure 10am

Dinner is at own cost. We usually dine together but some like to try different restaurants therefore dinner is optional.
Natural Spring Water supplied all weekend
Coffee/Tea/Hot Chocolate & Biscuits
We stop at the shops each day for Lunch where you can purchase your own lunch and snacks as we like to support local businesses.
We always have a great Aussie time on Fraser Island enjoying the things we love, like swimming in crystal clear waters, having a few drinks, roasting food on the BBQ and visiting major attractions on the island.

If you like fishing there is also ample opportunity to get some fishing in also when everyone has free time.

We will visit world famous attractions such as Lake McKenzie, Lake Waddy, Eli Creek, Maheno Ship Wreck and the Champagne Pools plus more.
