Aquaworld Cancún Shark Swimming

Live a once in a lifetime experience swimming with the largest fish in the world! Definitely this is a unique adventure, near Contoy Island we will find the largest congretation of Whale Shark in the world, making this area the Whale Shark capital of the world.
This wonderful and unique tour leaves every day from an all new private marina located at the Punta Sam Ferry Terminal, in 33 ft boats with a máximum capacity of 10 passengers, (this is the largest length permitted in the Whale Shark area for security reasons.) One bilingual guide and a
Captain will be part of your crew, the use of a life vest is mandatory and our guides are certified for this specific activity.
We have pick ups in every hotel in Cancun, Riviera Maya and Playa del Carmen, then we will head to the Marina, where you will have coffee & bread, and before boarding, you will be introduced to your crew and a short briefing instructions will be given to you, this to perform this activity in the safest way possible and also to follow the rules for the protection and conservation of this marvelous creature, this way we can guarantee that this will be one of the best experiences of your life. Once in the boat, life vests and full snorkeling gear will be provided.
After the instruction briefing, we will board the boats to leave at 07:45 am and navigate for approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour to the whale shark area north of Contoy Island.
The adventure starts right here, where we start searching for the whale shark in a vast area of 120,000 hectares of water, once we find them, the swimming will take place; from 2 to 3 inmersions per person, always with 2 people plus the guide in the water.
But the adventure does not end here, after swimming with the whale sharks, we will have a final stop in beautiful Playa Norte beach in Isla Mujeres which is simply the nicest beach of the island, here we will spend about an hour for you to relax on the beach or do some more snorkeling. Soft
drinks and snacks will be served on board! Then we go back to our Marina in Cancun around 1:30 to take you back to your hotels.

ITINERARY

The tour begins at 08:00 a.m. at Aquaworld, a van will pick you up before the tour begins






After about 1 1/4 hours after departure, we’ll get to the sight area.
Once near the whale sharks, the group will be divided in pairs – each pair will swim 2 or 3 times during the 2 hours the boat stays in the area.
At 12:00 a.m. we’ll head to Isla Mujeres where the boat will dock at the beautiful Playa Norte. Enjoy a light snack some time to relax at the beach
You’ll be back to the mainland around 3.00pm.
