In just 30 minutes, we can teach you the simple techniques for standing, paddling and – most importantly! – maintaining your balance.
This is a sport that will strengthen and tone your muscles in the most relaxing possible way, giving you a lifetime of enjoyment and healthy exercise in beautiful surroundings.
The best part about learning to stand-up paddle board with the Watersports Gurus on Cudgen Creek is that there’s rarely any boat traffic so it’s safe and stress-free. In fact, you probably won’t even get wet!
Lesson plan
· Your Stand-Up Paddleboarding experience starts with measuring you up for the right equipment.· You’ll learn the precise techniques for where to stand on the board and how to master the correct paddling style.
· The Gurus will then take you out for a guided lesson before you head off to explore our beautiful Cudgen Creek wetlands on your own.
Tour details
WHEN: Available 7 days a week, all year round – weather permitting
WHERE: Watersports Guru’s Red Tent HQ, Kingscliff Bridge, Sutherland St, Kingscliff
HOW LONG: Approximately 1 hour
SUITABLE FOR: Beginner, intermediate and experienced paddleboarders. Children from age 8 and up are welcome – children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
WE CATER FOR: Private and group lessons, including large groups of up to 15 people.
WE SUPPLY:
• All equipment – paddleboards, paddles and wetsuits (if required)
