Truffle farmers Maple or Ben will guide you through the history of the farm and the steps involved in growing truffles. Gain first-hand knowledge of the intricate methods and conditions required to grow truffles in our unique Queensland climate. As you walk through the paddock, you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, whether you’re curious about the soil, the growing process, or the unique partnership between oak trees and truffles.
At the conclusion of the tour, you’ll head to the charming Truffle Cottage, where you can relax and unwind with an entrée grazing platter showcasing a selection of fresh local produce and locally made truffle products while enjoying panoramic views of the river and the serene countryside. The main course consists of our signature Truffle & 3-Cheese toastie, with share plates of truffle fries using truffles grown on farm.
The experience is family-friendly, with children under 12 invited to join for free, making it a wonderful day out for the whole family. Dogs are welcome to join you on the farm, though they are not permitted to enter the truffle paddock to ensure the integrity of the growing environment. Guests will also be required to wash their shoes before entering the truffière, so it is advised to wear shoes that you don't mind getting a little wet.
Tours start at 11:30 AM and last about an hour and a half, offering the ultimate paddock-to-plate experience.
Fresh truffles will be available for purchase during the peak harvest months of July and August subject to availability.
