This Tour is a Land Tour. The Byodo-In Temple is located at the foot of the Ko'olau Mountains in Valley of the Temples Memorial Park. Throughout history Waimea Valley has been home to many people of the Kahuna class, thus being recognized as, "The Valley of the Priests." Hawaiian religion, which many still practice today, is polytheistic, meaning many gods. Hawaiians worship four main gods: Kane Hawaiian god of the forests and the trees.
