El Gordo Bendigo - Avacodo on Sourdough with Charred Corn and Grilled Vine Tomatoes

Your brunch adventure begins in Bendigo’s vibrant Chancery Lane at the chic El Gordo Café, where bold, Spanish-inspired flavours meet the freshest local produce. Here you’ll savour perfectly seasoned Avocado on Sourdough, topped with charred corn and grilled vine-ripened tomatoes, paired with a crisp glass of Harcourt Apple Juice produced just a short drive from the city.

Sim'R Cafe - Beetroot Rosti with Feta and Rocket Salad

From El Gordo it’s a short walk to the award-winning Sim’R Café, renowned for its seasonal menu and house-made sourdough crafted by Wild and Tamed. Host and chef Simone will serve her signature Beetroot Rosti, a colourful mid-morning dish layered with feta, rocket salad, and finished with Wild and Tamed’s exquisite balsamic glaze. A locally roasted Sim'R blend coffee complements this delicate dish.

Hoo-Gah Cafe - Lemon Myrtle Tea Cake with Bendigo Blended Tea

Your journey continues along Bendigo’s majestic Pall Mall to the much-loved Hoo-Gah, a modern café with a wholefoods vibe. Be tempted by host Gina’s irresistible Lemon Myrtle Tea Cake, served with a steaming cup of Bendigo's very own Tea Associates tea, the perfect mid-tour indulgence.

Indulge Chocolates - Belgium Hot Chocolate and Locally Inspired Pralines

And of course, no brunch would be complete without chocolate. At Indulge Chocolates, the city’s finest Belgian Chocolatier, you’ll conclude the tour with a rich Belgian Hot Chocolate and a sample of locally inspired pralines, all served with Gayle’s signature warmth and perhaps even a song!

Along the way, your guide will share fascinating stories of Bendigo’s architecture, creative spirit, and the visionary people who shaped the city. With a maximum of 10 guests per tour, there’s plenty of opportunity to connect, share discoveries, and enjoy the company of fellow food lovers in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The tour covers approximately 700 metres (less than 1km) at a leisurely pace. It begins at the Bendigo Visitor Information Centre (51-67 Pall Mall) at 10am and concludes at Bendigo Bank Plaza at around 12.30pm. Tours run in all weather and are offered for a limited season only.
