Testimonials:
Our bellies and hearts were full with this ultimate foodie tour at Queen Victoria Markets. Within 10 minutes of the
tour starting we were sampling a range of beautiful mussel dishes and I was already smacking my lips over the chili coconut mussels and sipping up the sauce with bread. Then it was kangaroo steak, a few wonderful cheeses, some very tasty fruit and finally 2 hours later a famous jam donut! Lunch was not required. Our guide, Irene, was absolutely lovely and shared here knowledge and passion for the markets, the history, the people and the food. Even our teen
enjoyed it all!

Irene gave us one of the best tours in all of Melbourne! Learning about the Queen Victoria Market and its amazing traders was an exceptional experience. Add in all of the delicious food and wine we had the opportunity to try and you have a perfect day! What an absolute treat - don't miss this if you're in Melbourne.

We are locals and had always wanted to do the tour. Absolutely loved it. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable, she knew all the vendors in the market. We got to try some interesting things that we would never usually eat and met overseas travellers and locals from down the road. Would highly recommend doing it.

The history of the market was very interesting but the food tastings were exceptional. It is highly recommended that you don't have breakfast, because you are going to be very well fed. Seafood, kangaroo, bread, cheese, dips, chocolate, wine, fruit and finish with a sorbet. 2 hours of pure joy.

Our tour of Queen Victoria Market was certainly an ultimate foodie tour, thanks in large part, to our excellent tour guide. Because she has been a customer of the market for years and cooks with what she buys there, she brought a high level of authenticity to the experience. The tour was extremely well organized. Every stall we stopped at was expecting us; the vendors were charming and had interesting stories to tell, encouraged by our guide, who seemed to know each family's history; the tastes were beautifully set out and we were able to cover a great deal of the market during our allotted time. The tastes were very generous and explained well by each vendor.

I went on The Ultimate Foodie Tour today and it was absolutely worth it. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough. I have been to Queen Vic Market many times and being able to go on a tour and gain deeper knowledge about the history of the Market, along with valuable insight and knowledge from the lovely traders and generous samples was well worth the price. The Tour Guides are a wealth of knowledge and incredibly friendly and helpful. Regardless of whether you are a local or an interstate/international visitor, everyone should do this tour. You honestly will not regret it!

This tour exceeded all of our expectations. Thanks for a most insightful couple of hours in which our guide showed her huge knowledge of the history of the area, the businesses and families in the markets and of course the wonderful food! Highly recommend (and was a terrific way to spend our wedding anniversary).
