Our whale watching tours depart every Saturday and Sunday from 8th June 2024 - 18 August 2024 from Manly Wharf 3 (in front of the Manly Wharf Hotel) or from Clontarf Marina at 9.15am by pre arrangement. Tour departures are subject to a minimum of 6 passengers.
Champagne Sailing is a stunning 38 foot catamaran. She has a large covered area which is completely encloseable, as well as a large outdoor area with 2 outdoor tables with surround seating and 360 degree uninterrupted viewing area. With passenger numbers capped at 12 you are guaranteed a small group, intimate experience with plenty of space to allow for social distancing.
Every year from May to August Humpback whales head North to the Coral Sea to give birth and mate in warmer waters. The Humpbacks use the Inshore Northern Current to help them on their migration North and this is usually found within 3 nautical miles of the Sydney coast. Jump on board Champagne Sailing and head out of the Harbour for an intimate encounter with these amazing mammals.
Typically the whales will surface and play, displaying typical behaviour such as breaching, tail slapping, lunging and if you're lucky spyglassing!
Book today for an approx. 3 hour tour, which includes water/soft drinks, a short cruise from Manly across the Harbour to Sydney Heads to see what we can find. Look out for dolphins playing around the boat , try and spot the local Fairy penguins and sit back and enjoy a relaxing cruise. Group numbers are capped at 12 which allows plenty of space to spread out and relax. BYO food or enjoy a delicious picnic box for 2 from our partners at Cheese on Wheels (available for pre purchase online).
