Our one-day wilderness survival & emergency preparedness course is a dynamic combination of both traditional and modern survival and safety skills. This one day outdoor course is packed with essential bush survival and safety training.

Wilderness Survival & Emergency Preparedness - DAY COURSE
This day course is designed to give you the essential skills in bush survival and wilderness travel. You will learn skills from both military survival concepts and up to date civilian search and rescue concepts.
Emergency preparedness - learn what to do if you get lost in the bush, what essential gear you should carry, how to build an emergency shelter from natural materials, light a fire with and without matches, find your way with a map and a compass and much, much more!

​Through an outdoors practical hands-on experience you learn what you need to survive and how can you source these needs from nature in an emergency.

Our one-day course will help you learn the following survival skills Essential equipment & clothing for wilderness adventures Light fire Build shelter Gather water Find food Rescue signalling Navigation skills

With some knowledge, basic skills and a little confidence in your own ability you can survive almost anywhere!

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
This is a beginner’s course and suitable for all ages and families and great as a refresher for the more experienced. Great for school and club exertions.

WHAT'S INCLUDED Training and Quality Equipment Professional, nationally qualified & highly experienced guides Wilderness First Aid Kit, Radios and InReach (satellite communication). Wilderness camping in private campsites - tents and sleeping mats. National Park Permits. 4WD support vehicle. No transfers are included in this tour - you will need to make your own way the Exodus Adventures Property. A shuttle service is available as an extra when booking if transport is required.

WHAT TO WEAR / BRING Longer style shorts or exercise pants Enclosed shoes (hiking boots, joggers or sneakers) Personal medications Water bottle (2 litres recommended) Sunscreen, hat, sunglasses Packed lunch. We can cater for lunch if required - this is an extra when booking.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE BOOKING
The weather can dictates our training sessions.

Before booking, please make sure you read and understand the below.

Pending Supplier
For a trip to go ahead there needs to be a minimum of 4 people. Until the booking reaches 4 it will show 'Pending Supplier'.

If your group size is less than 4 you can either join a group, pay the difference, or enquire about starting a new booking with your preferred date.

Once there are 4+ people we will confirm the trip. You will than receive a ‘pre-arrival’ email (waiver) - please check your spam folder. Email is from 'thankyou@getwherewolf.com'. Each person must fill out this form before the trip commencement date. Any persons who have not completed our waiver form will not be allowed to go on the trip.

On Confirmation - your trip will still be pending
After receiving your 'confirmation' your trip will show as confirmed, however your trip may still not go ahead due to the following:

1. National Parks Closure - this is out of our control. They usually give us 24 hours’ notice however also not limited to.
2. Specialist Guides - availability of guides. Specialist guides are seasonal workers and hold down other full-time employment.
3. Covid Outbreak / Closures / Hotspots - If the government puts out a heath order that affects you from traveling or returning to your home address, we can put your order on hold for a later date (no terms on when you can re-use) This will not be considered for a 'possible closure'.

Cancellations
1. Exodus Adventures hold the right to cancel your trip due to the above conditions. If we cancelled your trip, you will have the opportunity to change dates or be given a full refund. Exodus Adventures will not be responsible for any compensation on your accommodation and or travel due to cancelling.
2. If you cancel any time before 14 days, a 10% admin fee will not be refunded*
3. If you cancel between 14 days and 7 days before the trip, 75% will be refunded*
4. If you cancel 7 days up to 48 hours before trip, 50% will be refunded*
