Your underground adventure starts out with starts with a full safety briefing from an experienced instructor followed by a quick change into your caving equipment, which includes helmet, overalls and head lamp.
Once you're fully kitted up you're ready to make your way into the dark and gloomy cave system.
Your head torch will be the only source of light as the instructor gives you a guided tour of the vast chambers, and as you progress you'll have to walk, crawl and squeeze through some incredibly tight gaps.

Participant guidelines
No experience necessary for this exciting activity. Caving is offered to children as young as eight at some venues, please check your preferred venue for age restrictions.
General availability
Availability most weekends from March through to October.
Weather
Although its rare, adverse weather condtions can affect caving so please call before setting off to check if you are unsure.
What to wear
Comfortable, loose fitting clothes, that you don't mind getting a bit dirty. Bring at least two warm layers for your upper body. Cotton and denim are not recommended as they do not retain warmth when wet. Ideal clothing would be tracksuit trousers, thermal vest and fleece or woollen sweater. Well-fitting wellies with non-slip treads are best, otherwise boots without hooks for laces.
Duration
Caving is either a half day or full day experience. Please allow 3.5 hours for a half day and 6.5 hours for a full day.
Number of people
There will be other people taking part with you on this experience unless you have booked an exclusive party.
Spectators
It is not possible to watch this activity unless you are taking part.

Caving gift vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months. Vouchers for Caving purchased in the lead up to Christmas will have an extended validity so that they are valid for 12 months from christmas day. This can be extended, under certain circumstances, for a small handling fee as long as the vouchers have not expired.
Can I extend my Caving voucher?
