You are free to explore at your own pace, soaking in the unique perspective and marveling at the architectural brilliance surrounding you.
A Breathtaking Reward Awaits. For those who choose to complete the climb, a stunning panoramic view of Rome and Vatican City awaits at the summit. Take in the breathtaking sights, capture unforgettable photos, and relish the sense of accomplishment. Important Info: Optional Climb : After the elevator ride to the first observation level of St. Peter's dome, there are 320 steps to reach the summit. This part of the climb is optional and requires a good level of fitness. Accessibility : This tour is not recommended for pregnant women, those with significant mobility limitations, or anyone suffering from claustrophobia due to the narrow passageways within the dome. The tour is not wheelchair accessible. Possible Closures : St. Peter's Basilica may close for Vatican events. If this occurs, we will promptly reschedule your visit. Alternative Plans : If the underground is closed, we will extend our exploration of the Basilica and St. Peter's Square. Exclusions : This tour does not include entry to the Vatican Museums or Sistine Chapel. Security : Be prepared for security checks at the entrance.
