If you're looking for a challenging and unforgettable hike through some of
the most beautiful terrain in Australia, then look no further than the
Six Foot Track.
This 44-kilometer trail winds through the stunning Blue Mountains, taking
you from Jenolan Caves to Explorers Tree over the course of three
exciting days.

But don't worry - you won't be roughing it out in the
wilderness. Our fully supported hike includes comfortable accommodations
at bunkhouse lodges and an eco retreat, where you can rest and recharge
each evening. And to keep you fueled for the trail, we provide hearty
breakfasts and delicious dinners each day.

Australia. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or new to the trail, the Six

This area has a lot of natural wildlife to see. We often see Wombat,
Echidna, Possums, Kangaroo, Kookaburra's and rock wallaby's and well as
tons of birdlife including the colourful Rosella's and Lorikeets,
Cockatoo's and Galah's.
SIGHTSEEING OPTION
Don't fancy HIKING or want to opt out a day. Come SIGHTSEEING with us. We
can show you this delightful area from Jenolan Caves, Oberon, The
Megalong Valley, The Blue Moutains and Katoomba (note: our physical
rating scale for the sightseeing only option would change from Serious
to Easy). See below for sightseeing itinerary.
We run this trip a few times a year. Usually we camp. But it's still cold
in August and we want to be warm at night. Honestly, there is nothing
like a sunny winters day hike. It's our favourite time to hike. Glorious
days, warm cosy nights. This time we'll be sleeping in warm Cabin
"share" style accommodation. (option to stay 2 nights only in private
room when available at additional cost - please enquire). The 3rd night
is dorm share accommodation only.
Supported hiking.
You only have to carry a day pack. We'll transport your main luggage to the
next destination along the track whist you and your group enjoy the
fabulous scenery.
Track Details
Distance: 44km
All dinners and breakfasts provided. Plenty of healthy options and we cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free.
We will have a support team on this hike. There will be one designated hike leader.
Limited availability due to accommodation. Get in fast.
ITINERARY:
Friday Afternoon/Night
Pick up from Katoomba Station. Transfers at 16:30pm and 19:00pm.
We'll transport you to our accommodation.
After everyone's checked in to their shared rooms we'll enjoy a pizza dinner "get to know you" night by the fire overlooking the megalong valley.
Saturday
Hike Length: 10.8km
08:00am - Full Hot and Cold Breakfast Provided
09:00 - Jenolan Caves exploration morning
12:00 - lunch at Jenolan (own expense)
13:00pm - Hike commences
15:30pm - pick up from Day 1 Hike end designation and transport back to accommodation.
16:00pm to 18:00pm - free time
18:00pm - Hot Dinner Provided
19:00pm -Night Activities
Sunday
Hike length - 18.2 km
07:00am - Hot and Cold Breakfast Provided
08:00am - Transport to Hike start location - end of day 1 hike location.
09:00am - Hike commences
10:30am - Morning Tea
12:30am - Lunch at Alum Creek Camp ground. Pit Toilet stop. Pack your lunch.
13:15pm - Hike resumes
16.30pm - Arrive at 6ft Lodge share accommodation (afternoon tea and drinks) or
an afternoon swim in Cox's River (its awesome) if you can brave the
cold waters (many do).
18:00pm - Hot Dinner Provided
19:00pm - Night Activities and Chat around the fire
Monday
Hike Length: 15.3km
07:00am - Hot and Cold Breakfast Provided
08:30am - Hike commences from 6ft Lodge.
10:30am - Morning Tea stop
12:00 - Lunch stop. Please bring snack items for lunch.
15:00pm - Finish the hike..
15:30pm - Celebration Station
16:00pm - Transfers to Public Transport or car park for journey home.
