This tour is fantastic for those that want to experience some of the best local attractions that surround Hobart. A visually breathtaking mountain vista at Mt Wellington gives a sense of grandeur high above Hobart, & is a perfect place for those take home photos & videos. A stop at one of the standout Tasmanian wildlife attractions with Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, means a guided tour & getting up close & personal with some of our wildlife. Don't pat too long, they may test your reflexes! The sleepy village of Richmond calls, & the Georgian sandstone period houses make for a fantastic time stap of convict manual labour, especially the Richmond Bridge *1823. Finishing with Pooley Wines @ Belmont House, means a unique generational look at winemaking, in a sandstone cellar door with some of the best classic cool climate wines being produced in Tasmania. This hill is also where they quarried all the stone for building Richmond. Let's do it!

Mt Wellington/kunanyi: Visually Stunning Views & Outlook
Mt Wellington sits behind Hobart almost as a silent guardian, and from the top you have a panoramic view of not just Hobart Town, but also up and down the Derwent River. Breathtaking might be a more appropriate word to use, and should be on every travellers wish list that visits Hobart.
Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary: Entry & Tour
Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is a tale of passion turned ownership, in a wonderful story of somebody falling in love with nature. This sanctuary is dedicated to helping Tasmanian wildlife and giving back to community. It is a fantastic way to get up close and personal with some of our favourite critters, and they don’t bite at all.
Richmond Village: Walk Around Colonial Heritage
Is a beautiful visual landscape that showcases a well preserved look at houses of the early colonial period from Tasmania’s history. We walk along the banks of the Coal River, up along the Richmond Bridge (the oldest convict bridge in Australia *1823) and finish at the famous Richmond Tasting House (a local delicatessen).
Pooley Wines: Belmont House; Wine Tasting
The Pooley family is Tasmania’s only 3rd generation family wine business, consistently winning major awards and trophies for their entire range, with their tasting room being located on the hill where all the stone for Richmond was quarried from, and I personally had a hand in planting some of the current Butchers Hill Vineyard. Their Margaret Pooley Tribute Riesling is a standout of the Estate. Up to 4 wines tasted.
